MASTER JACK GUO

Master Jack Guo - Wushu sword

Cun-Jie Guo, or Master Jack, as our students call him, is a full time instructor at the academy. Master Jack was born in the Henan Province of China were he began his martial arts training under his father in Shoalin Kung Fu. He continued his training in the fundamentals as a childhood student of Grandmaster Aiping's for more than two years. At the age of eight Master Jack entered into training at the esteemed Henan Changheng School of Martial Arts. He competed in Kung Fu tournaments in Henan Province and won numerous all-around championships. In 1989 he was chosen by special the Kung Fu Division of the Beijing Police Department and received intensive training. Master Guo subsequently entered the Henan Provincial Professional Wu Shu Team and competed in numerous nation-wide tournaments at the professional level. Among his achievements are National Champion in the Dao Shu (broad sword technique), Gun Shu (staff technique), Chang Quan (Long Fist) and Dui Lian (fighting techniques). In 1996 Master Jack began training in the Wu Dang System which enabled him to become a unique force in Kung Fu by mingling the styles of Shoalin, Wu Dang and Contemporary Wu Shu. In 1999 Master Guo became a member of the Disney World Company bringing him to United States. In 2004 Master Jack became a full time instructor at the academy. Under Grandmaster Aiping's direction Master Jack has brought us the lion dance performance in 2005 and then in 2006 the Lion Dance Team. He has spent his life training,competing and performing. He is certified by the Wu Dang Wu Shu Association as a First Degree Instructor and certified First Degree Judge. In 1996 Master Jack was the National Broadsword and Staff Champion. In 1999 he was again the Staff Champion and added Long Fist Champion to his list of accomplishments. In April of 2002 Master Jack won the Gold Medal in Broadsword and Staff at the World Wu Shu Championships. Master Jack's interest are also of the scholarly study of Kung Fu. He authored, published and won first prize for two theses on the Compilation of the 21st Century of Chinese Sports entitled "On Three Forms of the Martial Arts and Health" and "The Roles of Kung Fu Routines on the Science of Kung Fu Arrangements".His high energy personality and love for Wu Shu and teaching make Master Jack a wonderful part of the academy
